Friends of St Augustine’s member and noted local historian Alan Thorne and Brian Keitch, founder member of the Penarth Local History Society will be giving a talk at Penarth Library on 7th June entitled Days of Sail and Steam.
Brian and Alan will give a presentation on the history of sail and steam in Penarth to coincide with the relaunch of the Waverley paddle steamer this June.
The talk will take place at Penarth Library, Stanwell Road on Wednesday 7th June from 7-8pm. Entrance costs £2 to include a glass of wine or a soft drink. Space is limited so booking is essential. Phone 02920 708438.
This is not organised by The Friends of St Augustine’s but may be of interest to members as well as others interested in the history of Penarth.
