A Victor Spiller
Albert Victor Spiller was born in Penarth in 1897. In 1911 he was a news boy and lived at 34 John Street with his parents Albert and Emma Spiller and sisters Evelyn, Florance and Olive. Albert served in the 9th Battalion, the Royal Welsh Fusiliers with the rank of Lance Corporal (service number 12497). He died of wounds on 28th October 1916 aged 19 and is buried at IV. R. 9., Pozieres British Cemetery, Ovillers-La Boisselle.
