Cecil Hugh Macdonald
Cecil Hugh Macdonald was born in Penarth in 1896 and in 1911 was a clerk in an insurance company. He lived with his parents Robert and Mary MacDonald and siblings Robert, Effie, Angus and Eileen at 127 Windsor Rd, Penarth. Cecil served in the 11th Battalion, the Welsh Regiment with the rank of Private (service number 15397). He was killed in action in Salonika on 18th September 1918 and is buried at V. F. 31., Doiran Military Cemetery.
