Charles H Jeffcott
Charles Henry Jeffcott was born in Penarth. In 1911 he was living at 152 Windsor Road with his parents George and Lily Jeffcott and siblings Albert, Amy, Edward, George, Lily, Maud and William. Charles served in “B” Battery. 92nd Brigade, Royal Horse Artillery and Royal Field Artillery and his rank was Gunner (service number 24935). He was killed in action on 25th October 1916 aged 19 and is buried at A. 13., Carnoy Military Cemetery.
