Ernest Davison
Ernest was born in born in Leytonstone, Essex in 1897. In 1901 he was living at 49 Kings Road, Low Leyton, Essex with his parents Francis and Amy and siblings Amy, Alfred, Francis, Gladys, Percy, Herbert, Cyril and Dorothy. The family later moved to 9 Paget Place , Penarth. Ernest served in the Mercantile Marine as an Assistant Steward aboard S.S. “Anglo Californian” (London). He died on 4th July 1915 aged 18 as the result of an attack by an enemy submarine and is commemorated on Tower Hill Memorial.
