Thomas J Williams

TThomas John Williams was born in Cardiff, the son of J. and A. Williams, of Penarth. In 1911, Thomas John Williams, aged 16, and John Williams, a widower aged 53, were lodging at 35 Ludlow St, Penarth. Thomas was an apprentice gas fitter. He served in the 8th Service Battalion, the South Staffordshire Regiment with the rank of Private (service number 13426). Thomas was killed in action on 5th July 1916 aged 22 and is buried at II. B. 17., Mericourt-L’abbe Communal Cemetery Extension.
