As part of the Roll of Honour project, the Friends of St Augustine’s published two books, A History of the Roll of Honour and Sons of Penarth.
The Roll of Honour project started with the conservation and re-dedication of the Roll of Honour to commemorate the outbreak of the Great War in 1914,
A History of the Roll of Honour is an account of the inception of the monument, details of the artists and craftspeople involved and details of the renovation.
Sons of Penarth is a book about the lives of the 207 men remembered plus details of the 102 more commemorated on the War Memorial in Alexandra Park and another 60 not on either memorial.
It does not contain any information about the Second World War.
