Christmas Tree Festival

Posted in the Events Category

This is not a Friends of St Augustine’s event but is a chance to see the building looking very different.

On Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th December the church will be decorated with about 50 Christmas trees.  They will have been put there by individuals, families, businesses, school, organisations and charities.  There is a charge for entry (£3.00 and £2.50 for concessions with children admitted free) and the proceeds will be divided among three charities.  This year the charities to benefit will be Parkinson’s UK, Rainbow of Hope and Smile Train.

The Festival will be opened by the Town Mayor, Cllr Jon Luxton, at 11am on 8th December and will be open until 5pm.  On Sunday 9th, the Festival will be open from 12 noon until 5pm.

Come along and see the trees, vote for your favourite and benefit three very worthy causes.

Refreshments will be available in the Parish Hall which is on the other side of Belle Vue Park.
