Visit to the Frank Roper Centre
Posted in the Events Category
On Sunday 12th May The Friends have organised a visit to the new Frank Roper Centre at The Church of the Resurrection in Ely.
Frank Roper was a sculptor who lived and worked in Penarth. There is an example of his work in St Augustine’s and one in the Parish Hall and there are many more fine examples in the new Centre.
The coach leaves Victoria Square at 2.30pm and goes to Ely where we will be shown the Frank Roper pieces and exhibition. After tea and biscuits is it hoped to visit St Mary’s in Wenvoe and St Sampson’s in Grangetown to see further examples of Frank Roper’s work. We should be back in Penarth at about 5pm.
The cost is £8 which includes the coach and tea.
