Stanley John Gould
Stanley was born in Penarth. In 1911 he was living at 15 Maughan Street, Penarth with his parents John and Margaret Gould and siblings William, Bernard, Gladys, Olive, Annie, Thomas and Arthur. Another sister, Mary, died in 1909 aged 20. Stanley served in 113th Siege Battery the Royal Garrison Artillery with the rank of Bombardier (service number 348120). He was killed in action on 28th September 1918 aged 24 and is buried at V. AA. 7., Ypres Reservoir Cemetery. He is also commemorated on grave G42 in St Augustine’s churchyard.
