Isaac Gall

Isaac was born in 1893. He was baptised on 15th September 1893, the son of Alfred George, a carpenter, and Martha Elizabeth Gall of 38 Salop Street. In1901 he lived at 131 Plassey Street with his parents Alfred and Martha Gall siblings Sarah, George, Richard and Martha, grandmother Elizabeth Williams and uncle Isaac Williams. In 1911 he was coal miner hewer living at 48 Edward St, Pengam. His parents, Alfred and Martha and grandparent William and Mary Gall lived at 21 Lord St, Penarth, while his brother Richard was living with Williams relatives at 100 Plassey Street. Isaac served in the 2nd Battalion, the South Wales Borderers with the rank of Corporal (service number 11720). He was killed in action at Gallipoli on 21st August 1915 and is commemorated on Panel 80 to 84 or 219 and 220., Helles Memorial.
