Thomas Evans
Thomas (k/a Percy) was born in Penarth in 1897, the son of Thomas and Sarah Jane Evans and brother of Albert, Dorothy, William, Lily and Tom of 48 Glebe St, Penarth. Thomas served in the 10th Battalion, the Welsh Regiment with the rank of Corporal (service number 30274). He was killed in action on 20th March 1917 aged 20 and is buried in II. E. 7., Bard Cottage Cemetery. He enlisted in February 1915 and had not been home since. Home leave had been cancelled 4 times.
