Edgar S Martyn
Edgar Spear Martyn was born in Crouch End, Middlesex in 1896. In 1911 he was a pupil at College Place, Walthamstow, Woodford, Essex. His parents, S. T. and Helena Martyn lived at 2, Park Rd., Penarth. Edgar served in the 6th Battalion, the Queen’s Own (Royal West Kent Regiment) and his rank was Captain. He was killed in action on 30the November 1917 aged 21 and is commemorated on Panel 8., Cambrai Memorial, Louverval.
