Douglas G Hoult

Douglas George Hoult was born in Penarth in 1895 and was the brother of Percival and Rupert. In 1911 he was a carter for a fishmonger and was living at 59 Grove Terrace with his father George Hoult and his sister Muriel. The 1901 census shows George and Douglas at 59 Grove Terrace, and Percival living with an aunt and uncle. Douglas served in the 14th Battalion, the Royal Warwickshire Regiment with the rank of Private (service number 33704). He was killed in action on 14th April 1918 and is commemorated on Panel 2 and 3., Ploegsteert Memorial. He formerly served in the Royal Army Service Corps (service number 181357).
