Arthur Hopkins
Arthur Hopkins was born on the 19th May 1920, the son of Elias and Minnie Hopkins of Penarth. 1n 1939, Minnie, now a widow, Albert G, Arthur, a pre cast concrete worker, Trevor, Frank J, William D, and George E Hopkins lived at 18 James Street, Penarth.
Arthur served in the Royal Navy aboard H.M.S. President (M.V. Arinia (London)). He was an Able Seaman and his service number was D/JX208749. Arthur died on the 19th December 1940 aged 30 as is buried in Penarth Cemetery, Sec. E. Grave 738.
