Thomas A. C. Beddoe
Thomas Alan Cousins Beddoe was the son of Thomas and Bessie Marguerite Beddoe, nee Smith, of Fairwater, Cardiff. Born in 1924, Thomas joined the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve. He served with the rank of Sub-Lieutenant on H.M.S. Valluru. Thomas died on the 3rd September 1945 aged 20 and is buried in Madras War Cemetery, Chennai, grave no. S.E.12. In 1939, Bessie M Beddoe, a widow born 22nd September 1890 and two others, possibly her daughters Bessie K E born 1920 and Mary A Beddoe born 1923, lived at 20 Strathnairn Street, Cardiff. Thomas’s connection with Penarth is unknown.
