H. M. Gwyn Griffiths
Hugh Michael Gwyn Griffiths was born in Clifton, Bristol in 1922, the son of Harry N. C. and Mildred E. Griffiths, of Penarth. In 1939, Harry N C and Mildred E Griffiths lived at 47 Coleridge Avenue.
Hugh served in the Royal Artillery, attached 10th Battalion, The Parachute Regiment, A.A.C. His rank was Gunner and his service number was 880473. He died of pyrexia and heart failure with pulmonary oedema on 5th June 1943 aged 21 and is buried in Tripoli War Cemetery, 6. H. 11.
