Guy P. Gibson
Guy Penrose Gibson was born in 1918, the son of Alexander James Gibson and Norah Gibson. He married Evelyn M Moore of Penarth in 1940 at All Saints Church.
Guy served in the Royal Air Force as a Wing Commander (Pilot), Cdg. 627 Squadron, His service number was 39438. Guy died on the 19th September 1944 aged 26 and is buried in Steenbergen-en-Kruisland Roman Catholic Cemetery.
Guy Gibson was awarded the V C, D S O and Bar, D F C and Bar and the U.S. Legion of Merit (Commander).
