Frank A. Evans
Frank Aubrey Evans was born in 1893, the son of David and Gwendoline Evans, of Penarth. In 1901 the family lived at 29 Grove Place. They were still living there in 1911 and Frank was a marine engineering apprentice.
Frank served in the Merchant as Chief Engineer Officer aboard S.S. Nordeflinge (Cardiff). He died on 30th May 1944 aged 51 and is commemorated on the Tower Hill Memorial, Panel 73.
Frank was awarded the Kings Commendation for Brave Conduct.
