Arthur J. Evans
Arthur John Evans was born on the 3rd October 1918, the son of Thomas Henry and Rose Evans, of Cogan. In 1939, Arthur and Rose with their sons George and Arthur, a general labourer, were living at 19 Dock Street, Penarth.
Arthur served in the Welch Regiment, 1/5th Battalion with the rank of Corporal. His service number was 3964089. Arthur died on the 12th August 1944 aged 26 and is buried in Banneville-La-Campagne War Cemetery, V. C. 27.
