Leonard Bowmer
Leonard Bowmer was born in 1913, the son of Thomas and Lilian Bowmer. In 1939, Thomas, Lilian, Hetty and Josephine Bowmer lived at 45 Hewell Street.
Leonard served in the Merchant Navy as a Fireman and Trimmer aboard S.S. Baron Kelvin (Ardrossan). He died on 19th October 1941 aged 28 and is commemorated on the Tower Hill Memorial, Panel 14.
