Leslie Beer
Leslie Ernest Beer was born on 2nd September 1921, the son of Ernest and Gladys Maud Beer. In 1939 he was living with his family, including his parents, sister Pauline and possibly grandmother Elizabeth at 1 Salop Street, Penarth. Leslie was working as a machinists helper in a joinery. He joined the Royal Marines and served as a Marine, service no. PO/X108500. Leslie died on 14th September 1945 and is commemorated on Portsmouth Naval Memorial Addenda Panel.
