Thomas H Sandrey
Thomas Henry Sandrey was born in Barry in 1896, the son of Joseph and Sarah Sandrey. In 1911 he was working as a baker and lived at 42 Andrew Road, Cogan with his parents Joseph and Sarah and siblings Arthur, William, George, Ellen, Philip and Richard. Thomas was attached to V Corps Heavy Artillery Siege Park, the Royal Army Service Corps. His rank was Private (service number M/331830). Thomas died on 5th December 1918 aged 23 and is buried at II. E. 11., Caudry British Cemetery. His parents later moved to Jersey, Channel Islands.
