Albert G Jenkins
Albert Griffith Jenkins was born in Penarth, the son of William and Selina Jenkins. In 1911, Selena Jenkins, now a widow, was living at 48 Arcot St, Penarth with her children Catherine, George, Gladys, Jack, Robert and Thomas. There is no trace of Albert. He served in 37th Signal Company, Corps of Royal Engineers and his rank was Sapper (service number 56499). Albert died of wounds on 26th April 1917 aged 28 and is buried at D. 9., Haute-Avesnes British Cemetery.
