Frederick Lingham

Frederick Lingham was born in Penarth. In 1911 he was a messenger boy and lived at 9 Cliff Street, Penarth with his parents Frederick and Florence Mary Lingham and siblings Mary, William and George. On 17th February 1918 Frederick married Helen Gwendoline Warrender in St Paul’s Church, Penarth and their son Frederick C Lingham was born at the end of 1918. Helen Lingham married John R Frost in 1922. Frederick served in the 4th Battalion, The King’s (Liverpool Regiment) with the rank of Private (service number 108999). He was killed in action on 25th October 1918 aged 22 and is buried at IV. A. 1., Montay-Neuvilly Road Cemetery, Montay.
