Jonathan Wiggins

Jonathan Wiggins was born in Penarth in 1891, the son of David and Jessie Wiggins and brother of Thomas, Mary, Arthur, Ralph and Horace. In 1911 he was a ship broker’s clerk and the family lived at 32 High St, Penarth. He served in the 38th Battery, the Canadian Field Artillery with the rank of Bombardier (service number 301736). Jonathan died of pneumonia on 10th February 1916 aged 25 and is buried at Mil. 20. Winnipeg (Brookside) Cemetery. He is also commemorated on grave D24 in St Augustine’s churchyard.
